#5 Something that took place in school

           Last Friday, it may seen like an ordinary Friday to all other students in Victoria school but to VS NPCC(National Police Cadet Corps) cadets, it is yet another fun day where we have fun. Being left out of all the action as i am injured i stayed at one side watching the whole squad learn and have fun. We started out with a Master Parade and after that was a 1 hour long session of drills where everyone seemed to enjoy. They learned many new drills. After that was a physical training session where cadets are asked to run 2.4km round the school(approximately 6 rounds). Everyone came back panting and envying me for getting to sit out of all the strenuous activity. We carried on to a 1 to 1 session with our fellow secondary 1 cadets. My partner was quite friendly but very quiet. I tried talking to him but all all his answer was yes or no or even the silliest of I don't know. I hope my partner would learn to talk more or even try to start asking questions about what he does not know. Putting that aside, debriefing was next and we talked about what we have done and learned. When we were released, all of us went to grab a cold drink at the canteen to pamper ourselves for all the work we have done. NPCC is fun but tiring and i hope no one would ever choose to quit the time engaging activity.

#4 A moment spent alone doing something i enjoy

           Usually I would enjoy playing with the computer with games like 'Wolf-team' or 'Blackshot', but as everyone who know me, would have known that I have injured my neck and I am wearing a neck brace.So as to not add any more strain to my neck, I am advised not to play any more computer games.(especially not for long hours) Therefore, during this period, I resort to playing my PSP(play station portable). I play all sorts of games from 1st person shotting games to football like PES. I like the campaign as I can choose my favourite team, Manchester United, and develop the team in whatever way I like. I even changed a character to Glen to make it seem like I am in the game. Other than playing my PSP I also enjoy watching television. Especially a good football match or a good movie. I watch La Liga as I do not have Mio Television to watch English Premier League. Teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona are reigning in the campaign with little losses. Good movies I like to watch are like 10,000 BC which was played last Sunday night. It was very thrilling and I enjoyed it really much. Although I enjoy spending time alone with myself doing things I like, spending time with my family can be equally or even more fun as we can do many family activities like swimming or even shopping at a shopping centre and eating out at a restaurant which everyone would enjoy certainly.

#3 A problem i have encountered and how i solved it

         Last Sunday,23/1/2011, I have to go to my grandmother's crematorium and pray.We left house at around 1pm and left for my grandfather's house where we were supposed to meet. Have I mentioned that the rain these two days are very heavy and have not stopped? On our way there, the rain was so heavy that there was heavy traffic almost everywhere in Singapore. A usual 45 minutes ride would bring us there but this time it took us an hour and a half to reach our destination . Upon reaching the house, our grandfather called us to get there straight as to make it more convenient for everyone. It was another 30 minute ride before we reach the crematorium. By the time we were there, our relatives were there preparing all the items needed. The praying procedure was long but we managed to pass time. After praying, we had to go and burn the incense paper. This was the worst part as the heavy rain continued to pour down so the adults sacrificed themselves and went to burn the papers without us. After burning the incense papers, the adults came back soaking wet. They dried themselves a bit and we all parted ways to enjoy the later part of the day as a family. For my family, we went to my grandmother's house(Paternal's side) to visit my grandmother who had fell about 2 weeks ago and is very weak. Overall for today, the rain was a bit problem but it is inevitable so we would just have to live with it.

#2 A special moment i enjoyed with my family

           Last week, 22/1/2011, I was at my grandfather's house to enjoy my maternal side's reunion dinner. It was busy in the morning as we had to buy all sorts of food to cook for the dinner. My father went to the market as early as 7am in the morning to grab the freshest of seafood as the early bird catches the worm. When he was back from the market, he brought back delicious breakfast with him too.My mother then went to NEX at Serangoon to buy extra food like pork ribs and chicken wings. Soon after, at around 2pm we went to my grandfather's house. When we were there, all our relatives already gathered there chatting with one another. We then had a whale of our time playing with one another. As time flies, it was dinner time. Everyone of us gathered at the dinner table and started the meal. Other than the food my parents bought, there was also fried rice, abalone, clams, and many more scrumptious delicacies. During the meal, elderlies shared life stories to us younger generations to gain more knowledge. After the meal, the adults then went on to play 'majong' a traditional 4 player game. At the time, us childrens play games with each other to pass time. Soon enough, it was time for us to go as my brother was tired. We bade my relatives goodbye and we left the place reluctantly. Each visit to my grandfather's house was always fun and enjoyable(besides I am going to visit them again tomorrow).

#1 Something unusual that happened that day

          Two Saturdays ago 15/1/2011, I went to have a normal Saturday night meal with my family. But this time, we went to a classy Vietnamese restaurant near the Ancient Civilization museum, named Indochine. It was my first time and I entered the restaurant with enthusiasm. We settled down at a table and to our surprise, my aunt's family is here. What a coincidence it was! We chatted a while before we settled down and placed orders for our food. The food came in 5 to 10 minutes and their presentation of the food was magnificent. We enjoyed our meal and the best part awaits us. A band was there to play songs of our request. We asked them to play songs like Fireflies and Billionaire and many others. They played them really well, even better than I had expected. We spent 2 hours there listening to their songs accompanied with drinks. During the intervals, we play I-spy with my fellow cousins. There are just too many to guess such that we all end up giving up and knowing the answer. Time flew and before we knew it, it was already 11 pm, way pass my brother's bedtime(we did not take note of the time as he was enjoying the time there also). We left the place with memories and wanting to go back there again to relax and enjoy ourselves. We bade each other and the band goodbye and left. This was one of the most memorable time in my life and I would certainly remember it.

I am a secondary 2 pupil from Victoria School. This is my first time blogging so i might not be so good at it but i will try to do my best.
